Pharmaceutical uses

eCG is the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) in various veterinary drugs marketed in USA, most EU member states and other countries for use in e.g. cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits and deer. In veterinary medicines it is used for stimulation of ovarian function and activity, improvement of fertility in estrus-synchronized animals, and induction of superovulation.
